The necessity for sand and dust testing


Blowing sand may be extremely abrasive and may deteriorate paint, protective coatings, windows, plastics and labels on vehicles and parts. Gears, rotors and seals can be damaged by sand as well as jet engines and turbines. Dust has the harmful habit of making people hate to enter the product area. Circuit boards with blowing ports, relays, moving parts and equipment, filters and liquid storage tanks may be adversely affected when exposed to blowing dust.


Industry associations or organizations have clear requirements for dust-proof grades for immersion protection products. For some products, the corresponding dust-proof grades are required.



LIB Dust Test Chamber


LIB dust test chamber simulates and tests the sealing performance of the shell material, to simulate natural wind and sand environment by circulating the talc powder. It's widely used in many field, like 3C products, auto parts, outdoor lighting, LED lights, electric meters and so on. It meet multiple test standards, like MIL-STD environment test by two separate sand test rooms.

Device and Working Principle


Vacuum System Device

Vacuum pump is used to evacuate the test sample. There is a vacuum interface in the workroom, which can be directly connected to the sample.



Circulation Pump Device 

It equipped with a circulation pump to blow dust back into the workroom constantly, and equipped with a vibration pump to prevent the clogging of dust during blowing. Make sure the dust flows smoothly and does not interfere with circulation and the accuracy of the test.



Dust Circulation System

Test chamber with vertical circulating airflow. The bottom of the air duct is connected to the V-shaped hopper interface. The air inlet and outlet of the fan are directly connected to the air duct.


The diffuser opening on the top of the workroom is connected to the workroom to form a vertical dust circulation system. Airflow can smoothly blow dust into the working room, forming a dust blowing circulation system.


Dust can be recycly used.
